Abstinence Program |

 The Pathway to Promise is an Abstinence Only Education Program providing services to 12-19 yr old Brevard County residents, in an effort to reduce teen sexual activity, teen pregnancy, and the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. The program curriculum consists of 2) two 2 ½ hr sessions, or (1) one 5 hour ducation session with materials approved by the A-H criteria required by the Florida Department of Health for Abstinence Education. Kathy Deppen is a licensed mental health counselor. She received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Indiana State University and her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Rollins College. She has over 20 years experience in counseling. Kathy’s expertise includes counseling adolescents, adults, families and couples (to include alternative lifestyles). She helps her clients with symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, situational and work-related stress, communication and coping strategies. I feel if we know where we want to go, we can together map a way to get there.  |
