What is Psychotherapy?Psychotherapy is a process by which a trained professional works with a patient for the purpose of solving problems, achieving goals, and managing his or her life. What is Self Improvement Counseling?Self Improvement Counseling, also called “life coaching”, is a practice of assisting clients to determine and achieve personal goals. A self-improvement counselor or “coach” will use a variety of methods, tailored to the client, to move through the process of setting and reaching those goals.
What is Couples and Marriage Counseling?Couples and Marriage counseling is the process of counseling the parties of a relationship in an effort to recognize and to better manage or reconcile troublesome differences and repeating patterns of distress. A couples or marriage therapist will focus more on how patterns of interaction maintain the problem rather focusing on blame.
What is Adolescent Psychotherapy?Adolescent Psychotherapy is a process in which a trained professional works with a patient who is between the ages of 12 to 17, for the purpose of identifying and solving behavioral issues. An adolescent psychotherapist will also assist the parents by giving them behavioral strategies and teaching various listening skills and other communication techniques.
What is Child Psychotherapy?Adolescent Psychotherapy is a process in which a trained professional works with a patient who is between the ages of 3 to 12, for the purpose of identifying and solving behavioral issues. These issues usually affect school, home and social environments in a negative way. A child psychotherapist will also assist the parents by giving them behavioral strategies and teaching various listening skills and other communication techniques.
What is Group Counseling? In group therapy, four to ten people meet face-to-face with a trained group therapist and talk about what is troubling them. Members also give feedback to each other by expressing their own feelings about what someone says or does. This interaction gives group members an opportunity to try out new ways to respond to circumstances and to learn more about the way they interact with others. |
